Product Safety Update: MOPITRI® Climbing Frame

Product Safety Update: MOPITRI® Climbing Frame

At Ette Tete, product safety, transparency, and responsible communication are among our highest priorities.
We would like to inform our customers and partners about a Safety Gate notification published in relation to our MOPITRI® climbing frame.

Safety Gate is the European Union’s rapid alert system for dangerous non-food products. It is used by market surveillance authorities to share information about potential product safety risks across EU member states.

What was identified

During testing, a small number of handles were found to break, which in certain cases could expose a sharp screw. After extensive internal investigation and communication with the authorities, it was confirmed that this potential issue is limited to handles produced between 3 August 2023 and 5 September 2024, during a period when handle production was outsourced.

The Safety Gate notification applies specifically to MOPITRI® climbing frames without a ramp configuration. However, as the same handles are used across different MOPITRI® configurations, we have also decided to inform customers who purchased MOPITRI® with a ramp, as a precautionary and transparent measure.

What should customers do?

Customers are kindly asked to inspect the handles on their MOPITRI® climbing frame:

  • If all handles are intact and show no signs of damage, the product may continue to be used as normal.

  • If any handle shows signs of damage, customers should stop using the product and request replacement handles.

Ette Tete will provide free replacement handles for any confirmed defective parts.

Replacement requests can be submitted via the following form: Handle Replacement Form

Additional information

Following the identification of this issue and the related Safety Gate notification, the MOPITRI® activity toy was retested in a certified laboratory to reconfirm compliance with all applicable European safet y standards.

The retesting was carried out using MOPITRI® products manufactured after the affected production period, once the handle manufacturing process had been adjusted. The product successfully passed all relevant safety tests, confirming that the identified handle issue has been addressed.

We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience this situation may cause and thank our customers and partners for their understanding and cooperation.

Should you have any questions, our team remains available to assist and feel free to reach out to us by e-mail: support@ettetete.com.
