Return policy

We design Ette Tete products to be helpful, loved, and enjoyed by the whole family for years to come. However, we understand that sometimes things don’t go as planned, and you may experience an issue with your product or decide it’s not the right fit.

If that happens, we’re here to help and will do our best to make the return or refund process simple and stress-free.

Our return policy lasts 30 days. If 30 days have gone by since the confirmation of the delivery, unfortunately, we can’t offer you a refund.

Products that can be returned

  • Unopened, in original packaging — eligible for a full refund (excluding non-refundable costs outlined below),
  • Opened but not assembled and in the original packaging - eligible for a full refund (excluding non-refundable costs outlined below)
  • Assembled or with signs of use  — eligible for a partial refund only.

For assembled or used products, once the item is received back at our warehouse, we will inspect its condition.

Depending on visible wear, assembly marks, scratches, packaging condition, or other damage, a deduction of 25–50% of the purchase price will be applied to the refund amount.

To be eligible for any return:

  • Proof of purchase is required
  • All parts and accessories must be returned
  • The product must not be excessively damaged beyond normal evaluation
  • The product must arrive at our warehouse sealed carefully in the original packaging or (if eligible) alternative packaging that would not cause product damage during the delivery process. 

Non-refundable items:

We do not accept returns for:

  • Outlet products
  • Products returned more than 30 days after the shipment delivery date
  • Custom-made or personalized items (for example, engraved products)
  • Products purchased through a reseller — returns must be arranged directly with the original seller

Outlet products

Outlet products cannot be returned and are considered final sale.

Outlet products are covered by limited 2-year warranty. Minor cosmetic imperfections can be expected and are not considered defects, therefore the warranty does not apply for coating and visual defects. 

The condition of each Outlet product is mentioned in the product description.

If a component is inoperable, please contact our Support Team and we will assess the situation individually.

Return shipping costs

European Union (EU):

We offer free returns for orders shipped within the European Union.

Outside European Union (including Switzerland, UK):

For orders shipped outside the EU, return shipping costs will be deducted from the refund amount. The deduction typically ranges between 20–40 €, depending on the shipping carrier and destination country.

Original shipping costs paid at the time of purchase are non-refundable. We do not reimburse any customs duties, import taxes, brokerage fees, or other charges incurred during shipping or delivery.

Failed delivery or unclaimed shipments

If an order is returned to us due to circumstances within the customer’s control — including but not limited to failure to answer courier communication, failure to collect the parcel, or providing incorrect delivery information — reshipment can be arranged for an additional fee of 11.15 € for shipments in EU.

Outside EU the price of second delivery is calculated individually based on the location.

How to start a return

To initiate a return, please contact us at: support@ettetete.com

Our team will provide return instructions once eligibility is confirmed. Please do not send items back without contacting us first, as unauthorized returns may not be accepted.

Please include:

  • Your order number
  • The item(s) you wish to return
  • The reason for the return
  • Condition of the product (unopened; opened; assembled)
  • Photos (if applicable)

Damaged, defective, or missing parts

If your product arrives with damage, defects, or missing parts, we will make it right with replacement parts free of charge under our 2-year warranty policy.

Please contact our Support Team via support@ettetete.com as soon as possible after delivery with your order number, photos or videos and a description of the issue.

If you notice visible damage to any components upon delivery (for example, damaged plywood or structural elements), it is important that you provide photos showing the product in its original packaging before assembly. This documentation allows us to determine whether the issue occurred during manufacturing or shipping and is therefore eligible under the warranty.

If the product has already been assembled and prior damage documentation is not available, we may not be able to confirm that the defect was present at the time of delivery. In such cases, the damage may be considered the result of handling or incorrect assembly, and the warranty claim may be declined.

If any component is damaged during handling, assembly, or use by the customer, such cases are not covered under the warranty. However, we may offer the option to purchase replacement parts separately based on our spare parts price list. In such situations, customers are also responsible for the applicable shipping costs.

Assembly difficulties alone are not a valid reason for return if the product itself is not defective.

Refunds

Once your return is received and inspected, we will notify you about the approval status of your refund.

Approved refunds are issued to the original form of payment and typically take 7–14 business days to process after the return has been received. Depending on your payment provider, it may take additional time for the funds to appear in your account.

If a return does not meet the eligibility conditions, we reserve the right to refuse the refund or apply a partial refund based on the product condition.

Warranty claims vs returns

If your issue is related to product quality, defects, or missing components, your case will be handled under our warranty policy rather than as a return.

Our goal is always to provide the fastest and most sustainable solution, which often means sending replacement parts instead of requiring a full product return.

Item exchange

We do not offer product exchanges. If you wish to change your item, please return the original product (if eligible) and place a new order.
